Beginners 1/2 day machine sewing course for the total novice.
Learn from scratch how to thread, use, and sew with your sewing machine. Cover all aspects of how to get started and gain confidence so that you can start sewing at home.
The workshop covers:
How to thread your machine and bobbin;
What are the different feet used for?
How to change a needle, sewing foot, or thread;
Basic machine maintenance;
How to set stitch type, length and tension;
Creating your first simple pattern;
Cutting out and sewing your first small project.
All materials are provided, but you should bring a packed lunch and your own sewing machine.
This is an introductory workshop of 4 hours duration from 10:00 to 14:30 (including short break for lunch) on Saturday 12th November or Wednesday 7th December with a follow up, next level workshop available if required.
Accommodation nearby can be available on the night before the workshop if required. Please enquire for details and prices.
